This
project is an individual project. Use PowerPoint to design at least six slides.
Consideration to good media message design is essential. Graphics must be used!
The following four slides are critical components of this assignment:
First Slide: You must use an atypical font on this title slide. You
can not use Palatino, Times New Roman, or Helvetica fonts or any resemblance
to them. You also must have a fair use warning label prominantly displayed,
like a cigarette warning label.
Hub Slide (optional): This visual table of contents must have
visuals that are linked to each of category slides.
Mediography Slide: Label all visual and audio elements and
sources of material used in your show. Do not present this slide.
I.D. Slide: This is an Instructional Design (ID) slide on great
teaching. Use the six step ASSURE instructional design model to answer the question,
"Who was the greatest teacher I ever had and why?" Do this by evaluating
your favorite lesson ever from that teacher's perspective. Answer this question
in the Notes Pages area of this slide. Just write the teacher's name on the
slide. Do not present this slide.
Before you present, there are three things you need to do.
First, hand in this rubric. Make sure to fill in your name and slide name information
at the top of this rubric page. Also, fill in the appropriate information for
the advanced uses of PowerPoint and iMovie utilized in this assignment. Do not
staple this rubric to the following stapled packet. Second, hand a stapled packet
with the following four pages:
1) The first sheet will have your first six slides on it, printed in the handouts
format (6 slides per page) - regardless of how many slides you've created. This
should be done in black and white with frames.
2) The second sheet is your I.D. slide printed in Notes Pages view.
3) Your PowerPoint storyboard.
4) Your iMovie storyboard.
Third, make sure your PowerPoint slideshow, movie clip (.mov file) and other
necessary materials are in your folder on the server. These are the files I
will grade. Failure to follow any of these requirements will result in lost
points.
